The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation announced Friday it has entered a partnership with the BMO Bank of Montreal. Beginning this month, for every new MasterCard application made at the branch, BMO will donate $50 to the foundation.

March 8 (Bloomberg) — Bank of Montreal ’s former executive managing director of its commodity derivatives group agreed to pay $150,000 to settle a U.S. probe into the mismarking of natural gas contracts and options.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said Monday that it had settled the charges against the supervisor of a Bank of Montreal natural gas trader who cost the bank around 680 million Canadian dollars (about $660 million United States) after the trader was accused of mismarking and misvaluing the bank’s natural gas trading book for years.
